Hackathon on HDF5 Format: Storing and Manipulating Simulation Data
Tuesday, October 30, 3:00 – 6:00PM UTC
Join us for a 3-hour hackathon facilitated by Matt Turk, Assistant Professor and Research Scientist (University of Illinois, NCSA).
Participants will learn how to use HDF5 to store column-based data, as well as simple row-based data, from Python. You will be introduced to concepts that can be utilized inside C applications, including data spaces, the high-level interface for data, chunking, and multi-dimensional storage. Participants will also learn how to create expandable datasets and chunked datasets. Please register in advance.
