PIRE Winter School
The first PIRE school was held December 2 – 7, 2018 at Biosphere 2, a unique conference environment in the Sonoran Desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. The week’s activities were co-convened with an EHT Model Comparison and Feature Extraction Busy Week. Winter School students were introduced to concepts of:
- Bayesian Inference
- Algorithm Optimization
- Parallel and GPU Computing
- Radio Climatology for worldwide millimeter observations.
Combined, the event was attended by 36 participants from partner institutions in U.S., Taiwan, Germany, and the Netherlands.
